Sangfroid

Atalia and Sacha make up the talented filmmaking duo known as Sangfroid, where each brings their unique expertise and skillset to enhance their projects. They met while studying film in Paris and have since become accomplished directors of photography, editors, and composers, always collaborating as co-directors. Both young filmmakers grew up in a rural, working-class environment. They moved to Paris at an early age for their studies and are active in the skateboarding and graffiti communities, among others, drawing inspiration from the street scene in their films.

Atalia, a director with an unwavering passion for cinema, photography, and sound, places staging at the core of his creative process, aiming to create an immersive experience for viewers. Further, he is an agency-signed cinematographer, known for his discerning eye for light, composition, and camera movement. Atalia’s technical abilities enable him to craft distinctive visual atmospheres that seamlessly enhance his films’ narratives. Proficient in editing and sound design, he shapes the auditory and visual elements of his projects with finesse. Sacha, a director with a unique sensitivity to visual storytelling, excels in art direction and creating cinematic atmospheres. His proficiency extends to skilled editing, using his understanding of rhythm and narrative structure to bring projects to life.

As a collaborative directing duo, Atalia and Sacha work harmoniously, synergizing their talents to produce films that captivate audiences. Influenced by cinéma d’auteur, their artistic approach blends aestheticism and emotional storytelling, reflecting meticulous attention to visual detail, a bold use of light, and mastery of cinematic storytelling. Atalia and Sacha have collaborated with prominent French artists such as Laylow, Ziak, Green Montana, and Deen Burbigo.
